I'm on ESXi 6.5.0 (7526125). I attempted to clone a VM to another ESX host, which was also being replicated with vSphere Replication appliance. That clone operation eventually timed out.
I had seen something similar in the past, and it appeared that the virtual disk files were locked. I then tried to recover the VM using vSphere Replication Appliance, but then that eventually gave a message: "A generic error occurred in the vSphere Replication Management Server. Exception details: java.lang.NullPointerException...'
I have since shutdown and rebooted all the VMs and the host. The VMs all seem to be working ok. But when I look at the Monitor / vSphere Replication tabs the original VM shows an 'Error' status for 'Replication Details', and still shows that 'java.lang.NullPointerException' message in the Recovery tab (with a red exclamation).
Q: How can I clear this 'java.lang.NullException' message?
Q: Is the 'recovery' still in effect? If so, can I cancel it?
