Hi all!
Im new to vSphere 5.5. I m using 2 ESXi Hosts with vSphere Essentials Plus and a HP P2000 SAS SAN. To the SAN i have connected 2 ESXi Hosts and a Backup-Server with a Tape Library.
My idea is, to do a Backup from a VM from the main-Datastore to a Backup-Datastore (both on the SAN) and the Backup-Datastore is also visible for the Backup-Server which could write the Data direct to a Tape. So i would have no LAN traffic, only SAN traffic.
But i cant find a way to this? - Windows Hosts cant read the VMFS on the Backup-Datastore...? - Backup direct to the Backup-Machine works, but goes the LAN way, much traffic, and slow.
Can someone give me a hint to a solution....?
