"Failure" question

I am very new to VDP and am having some trouble understanding some of the things it's telling me.  In our testing, we really didn't see anything like this.  We are now in the process of moving our enterprise backup to VDP (advanced) and I'm seeing some messages that are confusing with any amount of investigation.

I have a machine, server_01 that is set to backup with VDP.  It is a scheduled backup, runs at 7:00 PM.  I created this job Monday afternoon, so it's had three opportunities to run so far.  When I look in the VDP console, in the backup tab on the line for this server, I see a column for "Success Count" and a column for "Failure Count".  It's very clearly not a "Count", at least in my mind.  A count would seem to indicate a running total of successful instances.  On Tuesday morning, when I checked this, it said that there was a success count of "1", which is what I would expect if the job worked normally on Monday night.  I was out of the office yesterday, and come in this morning to a Success Count of ZERO and a Failure Count of 1.

Say what?  I started investigating.

If I open the FLR client for that server, I am presented with three potential mount points:  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  I can mount all three and browse files on them.  I assume I could restore from them.

So . . . where is the "failure"?  If I can see all three potential mount points, browse files on them . . . what failed?  I don't understand.  And why is my Success Count zero?  It "appears" to have worked three times.

A little insight would be appreciated.
