Thanks for reading. To say I am a bit tense here would be an understatement. I have been working on getting this thing deployed since Saturday. There is consistent failure each time. I yanked out the configuration and started from scratch, it continually fails.
The latest error I have is below.
2015-06-16 14:53:18 Exchange_DAG-1434491732837 Warning <0000>: [ctl_spawn] Workorder "Exchange_DAG-1434491732837" non-zero exit status 'code 536870919: miscellaneous error'
I found the article to support it, but it does nothing. VMware KB: Exchange DAG backups fails in VMware vSphere Data Protection
The ports are open on the MS Server 2008 R2 servers. I have zero problem with that. There is nothing between the two servers that can stop them except for the ESXi host. It's on the same Subnet too so it isn't as though there is addressing issues messing with it. One thing I do notice, for whatever reason, the DAG Cluster that gets created seems to be losing the IP that was provided, which I don't quite understand how that is possible. When I go back to check the configuration it says the IP is 0.0.0.0. but when I go through some of the files I see 10.10.20.0. I should be 10.10.20.159. Now, the really neat part is if I reboot the VDP Appliance, it stops trying to back it up entirely. It's like it forgets the entire thing ever existed. This is beyond frustrating...
